- Install the new drive belt: Begin by looping the new drive belt around the pulleys following the same routing as the old belt. Make sure the belt is seated correctly in each pulley groove.
- Adjust the belt tension: Most golf carts have a belt tensioner that allows you to adjust the tension of the drive belt. Use a socket wrench to adjust the tensioner until the belt is snug but not too tight.
- Double-check the belt installation: Ensure that the belt is properly seated in all pulley grooves and aligned correctly with the pulleys.
- Lower the golf cart (if elevated): If you elevated the golf cart using a jack and jack stands, carefully lower it back to the ground.
- Reconnect the battery (for electric carts): If you disconnected the battery earlier, now is the time to reconnect it.
