Tell you how to install golf cart drive belt

  1. Remove the old drive belt: Locate the drive belt on the engine or motor pulleys (depending on your golf cart’s power source). Use a socket wrench to loosen the tension on the belt tensioner and remove the old belt from the pulleys. Take note of the belt’s routing and how it wraps around the pulleys; this will help when installing the new belt.
  2. Install the new drive belt: Begin by looping the new drive belt around the pulleys following the same routing as the old belt. Make sure the belt is seated correctly in each pulley groove.
  3. Adjust the belt tension: Most golf carts have a belt tensioner that allows you to adjust the tension of the drive belt. Use a socket wrench to adjust the tensioner until the belt is snug but not too tight.
  4. Double-check the belt installation: Ensure that the belt is properly seated in all pulley grooves and aligned correctly with the pulleys.
  5. Lower the golf cart (if elevated): If you elevated the golf cart using a jack and jack stands, carefully lower it back to the ground.
  6. Reconnect the battery (for electric carts): If you disconnected the battery earlier, now is the time to reconnect it.
