An oil pressure sensor is a device that detects engine oil pressure and sends it to the engine or machine controller. It can be used as a generator protection device, to display oil pressure to the user or for logging and diagnostic purposes. Typically, the oil pressure sensor is located near the bottom of the engine block cylinder head.
