1. Begin by safely lifting the front of the mower off the ground. Make sure to use a jack or other support to make sure the mower won’t fall while you are working.
2. If your mower has a release link, such as a Z-bend, remove it from the frame. You may need to loosen the nut to remove it.
3. Place the new tie rod end into position and secure it to the frame with the nut. Be sure to use a thread lock or nut lock to make sure it will stay in place.
4. Connect the release link, if applicable. If not, thread the unconnected end into the steering wheel shaft.
5. Once everything is in place and secure, start the mower and maneuver it to make sure the steering operates properly. If everything works correctly, lower the mower back onto the ground.
