1. Start by finding the adjusting barrel on the throttle cable. The adjusting barrel is located on the engine side of the cable, usually at the carburetor end.
2. Remove the adjusting barrel from the cable. This is usually done by unscrewing the barrel from the cable.
3. Once the barrel is removed, you should be able to see the inner cable.
4. Use a flathead screwdriver to loosen the inner cable from the outer cable. This will allow you to adjust the length of the cable.
5. Pull the inner cable out until it is the desired length. Make sure the length is just enough to fully open the throttle plate when the throttle is wide open.
6. Once the inner cable is the proper length, re-attach the adjusting barrel to the cable. Make sure the barrel is securely attached, as this will ensure proper operation of the throttle.
7. Test the throttle by starting the ATV and opening the throttle. Make sure the throttle plate is opening all the way when the throttle is wide open.
8. If the throttle plate is not opening all the way, you may need to adjust the length of the cable again.
