Tell you how to repair ATV shock absorbers

1. Park the ATV on a flat surface and use a safety stand to ensure it remains upright and stable.

2. Locate the shock absorber on the ATV. If it is a single-shock design, it will be located on the rear axle. If it is a dual-shock design, it will be located on either side of the rear axle.

3. Remove the bolts that attach the shock absorber to the ATV’s frame.

4. Loosen the retaining nut that holds the shock absorber in place and slide the shock absorber out of its mounting bracket.

5. Inspect the shock absorber for signs of damage or wear. Common symptoms of damage include leaking oil, a bent or broken shaft, or worn-out bushings.

6. If the shock absorber is damaged beyond repair, replace it with a new one.

7. If the shock absorber is not damaged, use a socket wrench to unscrew the top and bottom of the shock absorber.

8. Remove the old oil from the shock absorber and replace it with fresh oil.

9. Reassemble the shock absorber and re-install it onto the ATV
